    MOA Fishing Rules
  1. Strictly Prohibited – No forms of Dough Bait, including Powerbait or similar products. No forms of chumming, trout feed, chow or use of corn. If caught, immediate Membership suspension will be enforced.
  2. May 1 – August 31

  3. Platinum Members MUST carry and use a Net to land trout on Ten Mile Creek locations A, B-1 and  B-2.
  4. Single Hooks
    Barbs Recommended to be Pinched or Barbless

    Barbs are Recommended to be Pinched or Barbless
  6. Handling of Fish
    When landing a fish, the fish is not to leave the water unless for a brief photo.
    Fish should never be on the ground, in the mud or flopping out of the water.
    If you keep a fish out of the water for excessive periods of time, the MOA has the right to discipline as deemed necessary.
    You are to wet your hands before ever touching a fish.
    Hooks are to be removed with hemostats, forceps, plyers or tools of equal comparison.
    If your hook is not immediately in the perimeter of a fishes mouth, you are to cut your line.
  7. PA State Fishing License and Trout Stamp are required
  8. All MOA Membersmust wear an MOA Member Button and have a MOA Parking Pass displayed on the front mirror of your vehicle while parked on MOA property, including guest pass(es).
  9. MOA Member Button must be displayed at all times or will be asked to leave the property.  NO EXCEPTIONS!
  10. Two fishing rods max per angler.
  11. NO Glass bottles and NO foam coolers.
  12. NO electrofishing, netting, spearing, snagging or bowfishing
  13. NO Littering! All trash is to be placed in trash receptacles or taken with you.
  14. NO cleaning or gutting of fish in waterway. If you clean fish at a camp site, you must take entrails with you.
  15. Pets must be on a leash at all times. You must pick up after your pet.
  16. Fish must stay in the location of where they are caught.
  17.  Fish that are being kept must stay in the water until you leave, on a stringer or fish bag.  No keeping fish in coolers.Once fish are in your vehicle, you are done fishing for the day.
  18. Fish Kill -If you accidentally kill a fish out of season, you will pay a minimum fee of $1 per inch, per fish taken to compensate MOA for the cost of the fish.
    Example: 25 inch fish = $25
    Pay fee at drop box at MOA Building or at Fish Park. Note on payment envelope your MOA Membership Number, contact information, date and time.
    If you kill a fish without an adequate membership, out of season, out of designated areas, against the rules or break laws, or simply knowingly allow a fish to float dead and choose to not remove the fish from the water and do not pay the $1 fee, the MOA will assess a penalty of $50 per fish killed.
  19. Guiding or Outfitting – is strictly prohibited without written consent from the MOA.
  20. Destruction of property means expulsion from club.
  21. NO use of chemicals, oils or attractants for fishing that are notstate approvedare not permitted to be used in any waterway.  (example: WD-40)
  22.   NO loud music. 
  23.   NO Golf Carts, ATV’s or UTV’s permitted on the property without written permission
  24.   Any photos taken on the M.O.A property or at any M.O.A events, are the sole ownership of the M.O.A. and may be used on social media, website, advertisement and at the discretion of the M.O.A.
  25. NO mishandling of fish or wildlife. If the Fish Committee feels you are not properly releasing fish and you have fish floating around you, you will pay for the fish and asked to leave.  If it continues to happen, you will lose your membership.
  26.  You must have your own stringer.  Once your limit of fish is on your stringer, you are done for the day.  If this completes your full limit of the week, you are done until 12:01 a.m. of the following Sunday.  Fish must stay in the location of where they are caught.
  27.  Fish that are being kept must stay in the water until you leave, on a stringer or fish bag.  No keeping fish in coolers. Once fish are in your vehicle, you are done fishing for the day.

Camping RULES

  1. Available to all members.
  2. Campsites are $20 per night. Pay camping fee at the pay station located at campground or you can prepay through our website.
  3. Campsites must display permit receipt
  4. Campsite rentals must be done by an MOA MEMBER
  5. NO Littering! All trash is to be placed in trash receptacles or taken with you
  6. NO glass bottles or foam containers
  7. Fires in designated areas only
  8. Only two vehicles permitted per camp site
  9. Maximum of 6 people permitted per campsite
  10. Pets must be on a leash at all times
    You are responsible to pick up and dispose of your pets’ waste
  11.  Quiet hours are from 10pm to 7am
  12.  Campfires must be attended at all times
    No burning of leaves
  13. Camping checkout time is 2pm
  14. Destruction of property means expulsion from the organization
  15. No dumping of sewage or waste water

Sporting Clays Practice Range RULES

  1. You must be a Platinum Member.
  2. MEMBERSHIP PIN MUST BE DISPLAYED WHILE AT THE RANGE
  3. Any shooter under 18 must be accompanied by an adult member 18 or older
  4. Club not responsible for accidents
  5. Shoot at your own risk
  6. Eye and hearing protection are required
  7. Clay birds only
  8. KEEP RANGE CLEAN; PLACE spent hulls IN TRASH CAN or take them with you.
  9. 1 Hour limit
  10. SHOOTING TIME-8:AM TO 4:PM
  11. Shooting in designated areas only
  12. When persons are down range, gun actions must be open
  13. All gun’s slow fire only
  14. No fully automatic guns (Single shot,double barrel,Semi shotguns only) No AR/AK style shotguns
  15. No alcoholic beverages allowed
  16. Service dogs only permitted at gun range; no pets allowed
  17. Destruction of property means expulsion from club

Pistol Range RULES

  1. You must be a Platinum Member.
  2. Any shooter under 18 must be accompanied by an adult member 18 or older
  3. Club not responsible for accidents
  4. Shoot at your own risk
  5. Eye and hearing protection are required
  6. KEEP RANGE CLEAN; PLACE spent hulls IN TRASH CAN or take them with you.
  7. 1 Hour limit
  8. SHOOTING TIME-D.L.S. TIME- 8AM TO 8PM-STD. TIME- 8AM TO 5PM
  9. Shooting in designated areas only
  10. When persons are down range, gun actions must be open with a Chamber Flag installed and always point muzzles ina safe direction.
  11. All gun’s slow fire only(No Rapid Fire)
  12. Do not shoot barricades, anchor posts, target stands or support wires.
  13. fully No automatic guns (Single action revolver,double/single-action revolvers,Semi-auto pistols only) No AR/AK style pistols (PISTOL CALIBERS ONLY)
  14. Shoot only authorized paper targets. No glass, plastic, wood, steel or other reactive targets are allowed except with prior written approval from the Board of Directors.
  15. No firearms will be handled or touched in any way, while people are down range
  16. Shoot only authorized firearms and ammunition. No tracer, exploding or armor piercing ammunition is allowed.
  17. NO muzzles are to be pointed above the top of any berm.
  18. No alcoholic beverages allowed
  19. Service dogs only permitted at gun range; no pets allowed
  20. Destruction of property means expulsion from club
  21. Violations of Standard Operating Procedures, range rules, specific procedures, or any unsportsmanlike conduct may result in the temporary or permanent loss of membership as determined by the Board of Directors.

Archery Range RULES

  1. You must be a Platinum Member.
  2. MEMBERSHIP PIN MUST BE DISPLAYED WHILE AT THE RANGE.
  3. The MOA, at its discretion, may take any and all necessary action to assure the safe operation and use of its facilities.
  4. Permitted Equipment: Longbow, Recurve or Compound bow. Full size Crossbow with minimum draw weight of 75 pounds. (Air bows are not permitted). The MOA reserves the right and has final decision on what may be permitted on the range.
  5. Only Target /Field Points are allowed. No fixed/mechanical or hunting style broadheads allowed!
  6. Personal equipment must be inspected by the individual and maintained for safe operation.
  7. No more than six (6) arrows/bolts will be shot at each target per round.
  8. All shooting will be from the marked firing line only.
  9. Only straight in-lane shooting is permitted. No crossing shots, roving or clout.
  10. When a “Cease Fire” is called, all arrows/bolts are to be removed from the bows and all bows are to be placed safely on a bow rack. Crossbows must have arrow/bolt removed and the safety engaged.
  11. Once all bows are secured on a bow rack (crossbows not cocked and unloaded) and the firing line is declared “Clear”, archers may enter the range to retrieve their arrows/bolts downrange.
  12. When the firing line is declared “Hot”, archers may retrieve their bows from the bow rack, approach the firing line, nock arrows/bolts and resume.
  13. The MOA reserves the right to revoke usage rights to any individual who does not comply with the Archery Range Rules.
  14. Avoid shooting arrows into other arrows already in targets.
  15. Shot rotation to preserve targets is greatly appreciated.
  16. Service dogs only permitted at archery range; no pets allowed.
  17. Destruction of property means Membership expulsion.

VIOLATIONS

  1. All violations will be subject to disciplinary actions at the discretion of the MOA.
  2. Any criminal actions will be subject to State and Federal laws.

If you feel someone is doing something wrong, contact the Fish Committee.

Things you can do:

  1. Take pictures with your cell phone
  2. Get their Membership Number
  3. Get their vehicle description and license plate number
  4. If you feel someone is keeping too many fish, keep track of the day and the amount of fish, along with their pin # and contact the Fish Committee or drop a note in the drop box with the information.
  5. If you see someone without a pin or a receipt, please contact the Fish Committee.
